Back to Winter

Our back yard today.......

Looks as if summer has been put on hold for a week or so here in Idaho.

You should be kidding! Tell us it's March picture! Although, is that an allium? Then, it can't be March... OMG!

29° C et un soleil magnifique après une longue période de froid qui s'est enfin terminée, enfin je l'espère !

Wowza, I can't believe you got that much snow. We must be more protected over here by the foothills. I'm crossing my fingers for your tomatoes... The warmer temperatures are coming... hang in there. ;0 Teresa

Shocking! Did everything survive!?

Ohhhhhhh Noooooo. Isn't snow just awful doing that to your blooming flowers. I know I have a love/hate relationship with snow. hehehe

The rain turning to snow was so upsetting. I was worried about my seedlings as I have invested so much time in them and the inconvenience of having them all over the kitchen until mid May. Nonetheless, they survived this freak event, as did all the rest of my garden. Sheila in Eagle, Idaho.

Wow! That looks pretty dramatic for this time of year. Did you lose much? We had the same cold snap come through here and I lost a bunch of plants that should have been fine this time of year.

That is just entirely unfair. I've never seen allium all crunchy with snow. Do hope that spring has returned gently and that all is well - we're looking at murderous heat in the 90s - so very weird.

What a cruddy day that was. We scrambled to cover everything up and luckily lost no plants. I hope you guys fared well.

Oh wow! What a bummer! I will send you 30 degrees of my 90 plus degree weather to melt the ice. :-)

That is absolutely like something that would happen here. ugh. I'm so glad everything rebounded. Your tree peony bloom is fabulous and I'm so excited to see the clematis ~ I just planted that one. Now I can't wait for the day it looks like yours.
Hope you are warming up and drying out. :-)
