Prison Break

Vanessa and I headed out to the Idaho penitentiary today.

Not to enter, of course, but to race.

Today was the Prison Break race.
(This race benefits Idaho's fallen peace keepers and the Rescue Mission.)

Some runners dressed appropro.

Not us. It was cold out there so we dressed appropro for the weather.

Gearing up for the race to begin and trying to stay warm.

Race "escorts".

And post race.....

As promised there was a flyover, riot squad, escape siren at the race start, and good food at the end.

Vanessa and I ran the 5K this time and it was plenty. Too chilly and too windy for us. But there is talk about Robie Creek next year...........

You amaze me, Victoria. All I can say is, "You GO, girl!" How nice you can share this with your daughter, I'm sure it is a bonding experience.

Victoria,

Missed your posts in the past few weeks! Enjoyed these photos. So what was all this about? Sounds like fun to me though.

Good for you and Vanessa, Victoria, especially getting out there and going for it even in bitter weather! Sounds like they pulled out all the stops to make a really one-of-a-kind race!

Well done to both of you! I don't do running, I'm just so the wrong shape for it, but I'm always in awe of people who can run! Looks like it was good fun too :)

je suis admiratif devant tant de courage surtout par le froid que tu as l'air de montrer, mais c'est pour une bonne cause !
