They're Here.

Remember these three?

Oh wait, that just shows three tails.

I meant these three....

...Tootsie, Jelly Bean and Ginger.

Well, they're doing fine. And laying eggs as they should.

Today we added to our flock.

Meet Brazil, Peanut and Hazel.

A Black Australorp, Golden Sex Link and an Araucana.

We're hoping we actually get the blue/green eggs from this Araucana. We've only had light brown ones from Ginger. The Black Australorp was not sexed, so we have our fingers crossed that "she" is actually a "she".

I'm excited to have new chicks. It will be quite some time before they're introduced to the older "girls". In the meantime; new babies!

We had Araucana hickens when I was growing up. I've always liked them. I've heard their eggs are especially low in cholesterol, but i don't know if that's truth or an old husband's tale.

Cute new babies. How young can chicks be sexed? Our farmer that we get our eggs from has blue eggs, the kids always enjoy year 'round 'Easter eggs'

Too Cute and I love their names, especially Brazil. I also love how refreshing your garden is looking from the previous post. I tried to leave a comment but I don't think it went through. Love the photo of the kitty and koi face to face!

I so enjoy your blog and am nominated you for the Versatile Blogger Award. Check out my sight to see all the details. I look forward to seeing more of your garden and fabulous pets too!

This seems to be the year of the chick. So many gardeners are getting them. I love how your babies are still shaped like eggs. And your older posse looks mighty fine too. I bet your kitten is grown up now, right?

How EXCITING Victoria!! I hope the new babies are as awesome as the older girls.
Your garden looks great. I love the photo in the previous post of your cat with the Koi! That's priceless. Hope you're having a good spring?
PS I know what you mean about the double Hellebores. I felt the same way so I actually did break down & order the two I featured on my blog. If you aren't in a hurry (and I get some seedlings) I'll be happy to share.

Aw, sweet babies!

My daughter has five she got last spring, and she's thinking of adding to her flock, too, though probably not 'till next year. A toddler and infant twins are keeping her busy enough for now!

Is there anything more adorable than baby chicks! I love the big girls too, especially the black and white hens.
