Finally.....

I believe I'm finally ready for Christmas. Just finished the last of the scarves I had to have done.....one each for Casey, Cassie and Vanessa. Whew!

I'm such a novice knitter that even getting these done felt so good. My friend Carol has been taking me to a knitting group on Thursday nights and last week someone was doing a cable stitch and she showed me how it's done. I was so excited I came right home and used it on Vanessa's scarf...

....gives it that nice twisted look; a little hard to see on the variegated yarn. Onward...more scarves to make for next year and perhaps I'll try my hand at a hat again soon.

Great! I also started to knit a few weeks ago, but put it aside for a while.. I hope I get back into it now over the holidays.. I never thought I would like it, but it is very relaxing. I am not as advanced as you yet, though - stuck with knit and pearl only:)

A Very Merry Christmas to you and Kim! (I understand that a little vino helps one to knit.) My Mother always did knitting at Christmas for my brother and sister and me and all of the grandchildren. I have several sweaters that she made that I will show you sometime.

Dang, I wish I could knit. I have no desire to learn to knit, I just wish I could pull and Edgar Casey and sleep with a couple of knitting needles and a skien of yarn under my pillow and wake up a knitte. I love scarves.
