Kim, Vanessa and I went to see Sicko the other night. If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend it. Here's a trailer...

Here's a letter I sent to our senators today;

"As our elected representative to the U.S. Senate, you seem to not understand your constituents. We don’t want the new “universal health care plan”. What we want is health care for all U.S. citizens. At no cost. That’s right. Just like our fire department protection, our police, our libraries and our public school systems. We want FREE health care coverage, overseen by OUR government, free to ALL U.S. citizens. Paid for by OUR taxes.

Are we, the citizens of the United States of America not as deserving as the citizens of the countries of Great Britain, France, Canada, even Cuba? Why don’t we have free health coverage as do those countries? Are our elected officials that ignorant of our needs? Are our elected officials that out of touch with the people of this great land? Are our elected officials that greedy, taking money from the health insurance and drug companies?

If you care at all about the people you are expected to represent, in our best interest, you will begin action upon an honest health care system."

This movie made me laugh, cry, and then get very angry. Definitely worth the $8.25.
