More Tastings.......

Steph, Kim and I attended the Boise Co-ops wine and cheese tasting event last week. Lots of wine and cheese to taste and all for free! My kind of price.

Steph was surprised to discover that she actually likes some Shirah/Shiraz wines.

There was a Chateauneuf-du-Pape open and of course I jumped at that. I always enjoy those wines.

So why aren't I employed at the Co-op? I don't understand it myself! And I'm trying. Guess I'll just keep trying. I think it would be a great place to work.

The Treasure Valley Wine Society held their monthly tasting Tuesday. We tasted (1) Sigura Viudas Cava Brut Reserva Freixenet – Sparkling Aperitif, (2) Col Vetoraz Prosecco di Valdobbiadene 2004, (3) Monmousseau - Saumur, Loire Valley, France, (4) Gruet NV New Mexico USA, (5) Argyle - Dundee, Willamette Valley, Oregon, (6) Lormandier Bernier, Epernay, France Blanc de Blanc Brut, (7) Schramsberg and (8) Shingleback Black Bubbles Shiraz Australian.

The wines were great and were served with some delicious food bites. You can see more photos of the event at Treasure Valley Wine Blog including pics of Kim and I looking sooooooooooooo wine savvy. Ha.

Well, since the Big Day is less than two weeks away now, I'm going to spend more time baking cookies and doing what little shopping we actually have to do. I'm also knitting away like crazy trying to get a couple of scarfs finished for *someone*.
Hope everyone is having a great week.

TRANSLATION OF THE ABOVE:

$63 for a bottle of French wine, that's terrible...it is preferable to live in France in this case....too bad I can't mail you wine, each time I see a great bottle here, in France, I day, "this Victoria would like", but no, G.W. Bush won't let me send bottles to you, so it is necessary to pay $63 to taste good wine!
