My son Casey and his girlfriend Cassie (yeah, it's Casey and Cassie) went on a road trip yesterday. We're babysitting. Dogs, not kids. Louie, Cassie's dog, was busy pining over Cassie yesterday; "Is she back yet?" "Is she back yet?" "Is she back yet?"

Casey's dog, Scarface........"Did someone leave? Wake me when he gets back."

Two very different dogs.

Kim and I drove to Idaho City for breakfast this morning. Idaho City is a small (600 population) old mining town in the mountains. It's a nice break from the city, and about a 45 minute drive from our house; into the mountains and the pine trees. Very nice. We like to eat at Calamity Jaynes...

This is a picture of downtown Idaho City. It's a touristy town and when I was in my twenties, a very popular place to go drinking because it can get crazy up here.

So that's the update on our exciting life since yesterday! Everyone stay tuned!

Isn't it interesting how pets feel when their owners are gone. One of our cat's feelings were really hurt while we were gone, while one of the other ones didn't care at all who was there with her.
