Oh Spring!

I always enjoy the sound of our stream in the backyard.  Kim starts it up every spring around this time.

Ponds require a certain amount of work to maintain.  In that sense, to me, they are similar to having a pet.

We've been enjoying a very wet spring this year, and it shows in how green everything is.

The shade garden is littered with blossoms from the nearby flowering plum tree.

And we have lilac blossoms for the first time!
We salvaged a volunteer from one of our neighbors a few years ago.

Scarface is on alert for roaming squirrels.

The dogwood tree is in bloom.

Along with masses of tulips.

I'm feeling very fortunate.
Hope you are also.

Looking good! I just scored a peony plant from Costco, then my in-laws dug part of one of theirs up for me, an unknown variety, but it has been in the family for something like 100 years. It doesn't look too happy. I've read that dividing should be done int he fall. We'll see what happens. The dogwood tree is really pretty.

It's great when we get rain, it sure makes Idaho very green. We live in Boise too. Your lilac blossoms are lovely and the tulips look beautiful. Nice garden! :)

I didn't know you had a stream in your backyard, Victoria. I'm impressed. It's lovely. Your lilac and other flower photos are pretty.
