It's Official

More evidence that spring has arrived.

Felix enjoys the garden and poses nicely for me.

The tulips we planted last fall are blooming.

Along with some older tulips.

Our koi know it's almost time for food.

For a great spring time dessert recipe check out Teresa's post.

How is your garden doing?

I love your spring garden. Other than a few days of a cool front recently, my garden is looking more like an early summer one. Enjoy the new growth and beauty! Carla

You have so many plants coming up in this bed. You are going to have blooms there for a long time. The tulips look so pretty. Spring is so wonderful. Felix looks like he would like to get the Koi and the Koi are probably wondering if he is going to feed them. LOL! You have some big ones in the pond. Have a wonderful weekend.

i didn't know you had a koi pond, how cool! your garden looks really lush already. mine is mostly a blank slate at this point, but some tulips have come up in the front yard, and lots of blooming violets and quince and (soon) lilacs.

You are a bit ahead of me, but not by far. My tulips are JUST about to bloom. I've got hyacinths that are absolutely glorious. I counted 28 different hostas that are in various states of coming up. My bleeding hearts are doing really well and one is blooming. The Brunnera/bugloss is absolutely divine this year. I've got three kinds of lamium up and one blooming. My little pulmonaria I bought at the Idaho Botanical Garden sale last year is looking really healthy. My Basket of Gold and rock cress just started blooming and lilies are popping up through the ground all over the place. I just LOVE spring time!!!

Victoria, You have inspired me. I just don't do much with my old blog anymore. It went in too many different directions - sometimes books, sometimes garden, sometimes life musing. I decided to start from scratch with a brand new dedicated garden blog without the pseudonym.
Stop by and see what I have blooming now at http://myboisegarden.blogspot.com/.

Your garden is so pretty! I can't believe how big your koi are! Ours seem to stay the same size or else a heron gets them. Maybe this year we'll see some growth on them
