Just so you know, it's been too long since I posted and WAY too long since I visited your blogs.
I suppose you think this is a pine cone;
It's not a pinecone, it's a cat toy;
Kim and I went camping over the weekend and took our new kitten, Jessie. He had a great time and stayed close to camp all day. We put him in the tent at dusk and he slept under the sleeping bag with us at night.
He isn't the first cat we've taken camping. Two previous cats were also great campers.
Vanessa, Chris and Casey all came up to enjoy the camp out. We hiked, we went to the hot springs, we sat and talked around the campfire. It was great.
Chelsea came with us, of course.
The Hot Springs;
The REALLY hot pool;
I'm hoping we can do it again next year.

Your kitty went camping with you? This is just too sweet! What a beautiful setting. I guess you've got a good excuse for not blogging. LOL
That's the second time I saw a kitty camping. Years ago when I was a little kid my family was camped across the road from a couple that had a maine coon that never left their campsite. We were pretty impressed.
quelle belle vie que voilĂ !
How fun that your kitty went with you. I would be worried she would wander off. What a gorgeous place!! It is so different from around here....looks very cool temp wise as well, which would be welcome relief to the 100's. I couldn't imagine sitting by a fire, in a sweatshirt in August. Looks wonderful!
this post makes me want to go camping. it looks beautiful. which hot springs are those? jason's always looking for a good hot springs, they're very therapeutic for him.
Who ever would have thought cats would like camping. But they do like hunting. Lovely looking spot especially the hot springs.... Looking very relaxed...
Think I want to move in...
hot springs and campfires...
What a life !
You know I always think of you when I see any chickens or roosters. Ginger, Jelly bean and Tootie have to be in heaven living with you.
Vous habitez un endroit extraordinaire!
What artist is playing in your cat movie?
We too had a fabulous weekend, but no camping. Still,exploring Jackson Hole, attending bluegrass festival in Alta and then hiking around Craters of the Moon were delightful.
My gardens are bedraggled now, but we should get together and talk plants.
Do you want any hollyhock seeds?
