Big Day for the Girls

Yesterday was our first THREE egg day!

Previously we've seen eggs in this range of color. You don't really notice much difference, mostly light brown to medium brown.

Where are Ginger's pink/blue/green eggs you might ask? She is an Easter Egger after all.

Well, that's a question I've asked also. I'm guessing we have an Easter Egger who lays brown eggs. Oh well. We'll take them.

And Mother Nature showed us again yesterday that "spring" may have arrived by the man-made calendar, but SHE will decide when it has actually begun.

I love the eggs. My daughter loves to collect eggs from my dad's chickens. Fresh eggs always taste better than store bought. Carla

Happy you are getting full production from the 'girls'!
We had a major hail storm here yesterday that left an inch of ice/slush. My poor seedlings! But amazingly, they look okay today.

The fresh eggs are wonderful! We have friends who raise hens and fortunately get to have a dozen now and then.

We had a little dusting of snow yesterday here in Oregon and it is forecast to be colder tonight, freezing; hopefully that will pass. Enjoy the Easter season.

Woo hoo! Go girls. Funny on the color ~ Easter eggs would be cool but anything straight from your own chickens is fantastic.
I'm sure we haven't seen the last of that white stuff either. :-(
oh, congrats on winning the books too ~ they look like good ones. I'm going to pop over and check out that blog.
