We spent nine wonderful days on Kauai.
We went from this (83˚F high).......
to this.....(11˚F high)
It was my first trip to the Hawaiian islands, Kim's third.
I'll be posting more pics soon in order to make everyone jealous.
The low the day we came home was 1˚F. Luckily the weather has warmed up quite a bit and we were in the 30's yesterday.

The beach looks lovely and warm. Your backyard has a wonderful look too. Warm or cold..........Hummmmmmmmmmmmmmm
That is a pretty big change! One extreme to the other. I've never been to Hawaii and look forward to your pictures.
What a big difference - hope you're well. I say this because every time (and I mean EVERY) I would fly from Alaska to Seattle I'd get bronchitis and be down sick for a week.
Your new header picture is gorgeous - good job!!!
Living in the extreme conditions that an Oklahoma summer can bring, I envy you the lovely snow.
The best of both worlds, Victoria! Nothing like a trip to the sea. And then to come home to that gorgeous house and yard! But yes, please stay warm. It's been miserably cold here in scenic PA too.
Looking forward to seeing the tropical photos - trying to collect as many solar units as I can - even if they are just from my computer screen. That sumac looks fabulous.
That looks like an awesome break from our winter here. But I see you got to experience the cold and snow, too! Happy Holidays to both of you! And to all the readers.
Oh, I'm SO jealous Victoria! I've never been to any of the Hawaiian Islands but they're on my "bucket list." White Christmas's are overrated in my mind so I'd be perfectly happy to spend the holidays on the beach. In fact, I ordered beach Christmas labels for my cards this year! Glad you had a good trip. Merry Christmas to you too ~ I look forward to seeing more of your garden and your trip in the New Year!
