Small Success

I'm so happy! I started these little impatiens, 'Tempo Apricot', from seed this year and they're finally blooming.
I know for a lot of gardeners growing impatiens from seed is easy, but not for me. I've tried them before without any luck. I'm glad I tried again this year.

They're small but they're cute and they look nice in the shade garden.

Next year I'll try growing fuschias from seed.
Again.

This week I also had my first petunias bloom from seed.

Note to self: start seeds earlier next year.
(I knew that already but I allow the annual yurt trip to interrupt my seed starting.)

Victoria good for you. Ya kept trying! And they look sooooooooo good. I did too and haven't been that lucky so I don't know if I will again.

Growing seeds is not easy, maybe if you have a green house. Next year I want one of those stand up greenhouses that zip up like Outside In has

So interesting to see flowers so big, as big as the pot itself....

I guess everybody got to go through it, that nothing come out from seeds ... We try again and again.

Anything grown from seed is twice as nice! Congrats on your success. I think that's a lesson for all of us to keep trying, right?

Doesn't it make you feel good to successfully raise such a pretty plant from a tiny seed? I grew impatiens from seed one year, but now I just buy a couple of 4 packs as I just use them in a few containers.
I have grown petunia from seed for many, many years as I can't buy my favorites in any nursery.
