First Thursday

Vanessa had a great time at First Thursday. Many of her friends and family showed up to support her. She enjoyed discussing her paintings and talking about art in general. One of everyone's favorites was my least favorite - go figure.

She uses oils mostly. The large picture of orange lilies is done in acrylics and it's ours. We keep it on our back porch.

I'm amazed and thrilled that she has so much support. It's just nice to see. Here's hoping she gets to repeat this experience.

Today is my last day of babysitting the boys. I'm looking forward to going home. They seem to be adjusting to me a bit too well; Bruno was leaping up on me this morning and Scarface was pulling at my sleeve to try to get me to play. Time to go.

I really envy those who can sketch and draw ... for being so artistic. I can only be creative with gardening... haha..

Bangchik and Kakdah - I wish I could paint or draw. I'm like you, only creative in the garden.

Dirt Princess - We bring in the painting for fall and winter. And it's under a roof. :-)

How wonderful for your daughter to have that opportunity. I hope she gets to do it again too. Did she inherit her artistic ability from you? It's great you encourage her, I hope she finds her niche and does well. and yippee for going home. I bet you've missed your garden, house and new little chicks. Oh, and your hubby! How could I forget him! Have a great weekend.
