Trees and Moons

I know it's late, but I love our Russian Olive Tree.

(It's late because the blooms, and the aroma, are long gone. But I loved it while they endured.)

Why you ask. Because of the leaf color; blue/gray. And the aroma while it's in bloom; unbelievably sweet scented. Impossible to ignore.

In our area it's basically a weed tree, but we really enjoy it.

And this is for you especially, Genie, our Moongarden is doing well and being utilized;Three of the roses are blooming in this photo; Iceberg, Constance Spry and Blanc de Coubert.
I've even roasted some marshmallows in there lately.

And work related: I've recently been switched to mornings (per my request), so I'm now required to move myself out of bed at 4:30AM if I want to fit in my exercise routine pre-work. (And yes, it's best to do it BEFORE work.) So, I've been re-scheduling my day; again.

Yes, I do love our Olive Trees, too. We have two of the in our yard and the birds really love the fruits and the protection the thorns give them. We even had a Western Taniger in them this spring.

I love your garden! Everything looks so perfect. Your tree fits right in there and doesn't look like weed at all:)

Yea!!! I love the stars and moons in your fire pit! I LOVE your moongarden! We didn't even plant moonflowers this year let alone a big, beautiful garden. Your garden just gets better and better, so awesome.

I have to pat you on the back for your dedication to exercise. I'm a big believer in exercising FIRST THING too. I'm not naturally a morning person, but those times in my life when I could get up at 4 or 5, I really enjoyed it! The world is so beautiful before dawn! I hope you get to do some of your exercise outside but even if you don't, there's still that special 'morning vibe' to enjoy. Way to go!

Oh my 4 30 is rather early but I am doing the same thing since my drive to work is now 1 hour and 15 minutes. I too love the fragrance of the olive tree.
