Our Halloween dinner was a great one. Kim has been reminiscing for quite a while over a meal he had in Sanary sur Mer; mussels in blue cheese sauce with frites (French Fries to us). I located a recipe and decided to give it a try. Turned out great. I loved it and I'm not a fan of blue cheese.

We enjoyed it with a bottle of French wine we picked up locally. We bought 1 1/2 lbs of mussels for the two of us. I couldn't finish my half, but Kim did. Oh....so good!
(You'll have to allow me to indulge in memories of our wonderful European vacation. Since I was laid off, and with pathetic job prospects, we're assuming we'll never be able to afford a similar experience. Consequently we are trying to get the most enjoyment from the vacation we did have.)
