End of October

I readily admit it, I've been ignoring my blog.
And I don't have a good excuse.
It's just happened.
Grace keeps up with her two blogs.  And she does it well.

I guess this post will be a "bring my blog up to date" post.

Ah...right now we have some Japanese anemones (Anemone hupehensis) blooming in our garden.

But check out my daughters pink ones.  (I plan on stealing some of her volunteers.)

The difference?  I think it's called chickens.

We recently returned from Burgdorf Hot Springs.  We spent three nights up there and rented four cabins for our group.  Great trip.  My dad used to take us up when I was a kid.  I've returned many a time as an adult and it's hardly changed at all.

Amazingly, these two are still alive and getting around.

Scarface and Chelsea did a lot of this:

And a little of this:

We hiked up this hill near Burgdorf.  This photo is courtesy of Sarah Knopp and a cool flying gopro.

And an update on my son since his June surgery.

He and his family are doing well.

I miss this little gal though!

  1. Wow Hoo !! Nice to see you. The Japanese anemones are pretty and I'm glad your son is doing better( that had to and has to be a big worry). The Cabin and location is awesome !
I see many people I used to follow have slowed down when it comes to posting...so what...it's not important.

  2. Bergdorf looks like a fun place. I'm glad the pups had a nice time. Good to hear your son is doing well. Here's to a quiet and happy new season.

  3. Mes parents ont tellement changé de régions que je ne suis jamais retourné où nous avions vécu, c'est un réel manque, comme un deuil ajouté à celui de la perte des parents et des frères.

  4. Well... I don't keep up with both blogs, Victoria. My writing blog has taken a hiatus since March. The garden blog is fun because I'm constantly taking photos. I'm so glad your son is doing well, bless his heart! And your granddaughter is absolutely precious. Glad to hear your doggies are doing well too. I imagine you're knitting up a storm this time of year, aren't you?
