Alliums

Loving our allium 'Globemaster' right now. Clematis 'Fireworks' in the background.
With salvia.
Bees love them too.
With Red Valerian in the background.
And with peony 'Red Charm'.
These alliums do great in full sun, grow to about 32 inches tall and take very little care to maintain. Bloom time; May and June.

  1. You found the perfect spot for them ~ they look great next to your wall. Mine are finished already but the bees worked them over here too. Do you cut the heads or let them seed??

  4. Kathleen, we've never had our alliums reseed, we wait until the bulbs multiply and then spread those around.

Emily, yes, that is 'Fireworks' clematis in the background. Blooming its head off right now.

  7. Absolutely gorgeous! I love the allium and the combinations you have with it! I must get some 'Globemaster.' I think the few I have are 'Christophii.'

    Your garden is looking scrumptous!
